Copper Poppy Wreath
The Copper Poppy Wreath is a handmade remembrance wreath, 40cm across, made entirely from copper. Nine poppies sit in a circle around a copper band stamped with your own words. It can be displayed indoors or outdoors, and 10% of every wreath ordered is donated to the Royal British Legion.
Why I made it
This is the most personal piece I've ever made. In the Army, The person beside you might be nineteen or forty-five, from any corps and any rank, and you're in it together anyway.
That sense of belonging to something bigger than yourself is what I wanted to capture here. Each poppy stands on its own and together they make a single circle, the way the armed forces do: everyone who has served, and everyone who helped make it what it is.
